The CHS Charleston location is hosting a 5K run/walk to benefit the Davis Child Shelter and the Charleston Foster Care Program.
When: June 22, 2024
Where: Coonskin Park, Charleston WV
Time: 8am
The event is in memory of Buffy Bonwell. Buffy was the Davis Child Shelter nurse for 5 years. She loved her job and the kids had a special place in her heart. She enjoyed working with people who had the same passion as her. She always cared for others selfless and took interest in their lives. After a battle with different illnesses, Buffy passed away in December, 2023.
Entry Fees:
• Early registration is $30 which includes a T-Shirt. Cut off for early registration ends May 22nd. Registration at the gate will be $35.
Course:
• The course is generally flat with mild grade inclines.
Age Groups
• This is a walk/run for all ages. Age categories as follows:
• 12-17 • 18-24 • 25-29 • 30-34 • 35-39 • 40-44 • 45-54 •55+
Awards
• Certificates for each participant as well as medals for the winners of each age division.
