Director of Programing

Position Goal: To provide administrative leadership to the Society’s statewide programs working with program directors and supervisors.
Director of Programing Qualifications:
- The ability to provide leadership, supervision and guidance to the Society’s program supervisors, site managers and potentially other program directors.
- The ability to work directly with the Society’s leadership for strategic program planning purposes.
- The ability to assist supervisors with program budget management.
- The ability to supervise and monitor program performance, quality assurance and program operations.
- Assist with program accreditation efforts/ COA.
- Work with the Director of Administrative Services and the Director of Social Services to provide assistance with updating program operating procedures/manuals with regards to licensing changes and updates.
- Commitment to working directly with site managers, program staff, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for program growth and or sustainability.
- The ability to provide leadership and assistance to local fundraising efforts.
- The ability to interact with legislative leaders on public policy issues that directly correlate with the Society’s programing.
- Ability and commitment to collaborate closely with administrative team members and other Directors of Programing.
- The willingness to be a back up to other Directors of Programing.
- The willingness to learn and educate ones-self on all of the Society’s programs and daily operations.
- Possess an outlook of cultural competence including a respect for and sensitivity to diverse values, preferences, beliefs, culture and identity of youth, their family, and their community
- Work cooperatively with others to meet agency and program objectives.
- Attain knowledge of and adherence to all agency policies and procedures and applicable laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor and assist with short term assignments to ensure the smooth running of the agency and meeting agency needs.
- Commit to the vision of permanency for every child and advocate for youth.
- Complete on schedule all personnel related paperwork, including but not limited to: PTO records, expense reports, benefit and payroll information, and credentialing information.
- Report all incidents of abuse and neglect.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred, minimum five years’ experience in child welfare with demonstrated experience and knowledge, criminal and child abuse registry check; background check that meets with agency approval; 24 hour availability to work with irregular hours; willingness and ability to travel throughout the state; a basic knowledge of and commitment to child welfare services; ability to work under pressure and multitask, good written and oral communication skills, Driver’s license, available automobile and insurance coverage as required by law and agency.
