Parents as Teachers Program Supervisor

Children’s Home Society of WV in Parkersburg is seeking a Parents as Teachers Program Supervisor . This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, social work, health, psychology or a related field; minimum 5 years’ experience working with families and young children; criminal and child abuse registry check; background check that meets with agency approval; willingness and ability to travel throughout the state; a basic knowledge of and commitment to child welfare services; ability to work under pressure and multitask, good written and oral communication skills, ability to use Adobe and Microsoft software; Driver’s license, available automobile and insurance coverage as required by law and agency. The goal of this position is to supervise parent educators as they work directly with parents of children in the home; providing parents with information regarding child development and effective parenting techniques.  The Program Supervisor will use reflective supervision as a strength–based method and provide support and encouragement to the Parent Educator as they serve families.
