Parent Educator

Children’s Home Society of WV is seeking a Parent Educator in our Parents as Teachers Program in Wood county and portions of Wirt and Ritchie counties.  Responsibilities for this position include working with families in their home to promote healthy childhood growth and development and positive parent/child interaction.  Additional responsibilities include completion of assessments and documentation, and participation in ongoing training. Applicants must have a demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development, strong communication skills, reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred, Associate’s degree in a human services related field required. Salary based on level of education.
