Director of Shelter Care Services

The Children’s Home Society has an opening for a Director of Shelter Care Services.  The responsibilities include but are not limited to:  Providing oversight and assistance to the Regional Directors/Site Managers of the Society’s eight Emergency Child Shelters, provide guidance and policy support to Directors of Programming, assist site managers with facilities management, oversight and assistance with waiver requests, transfers, IIU reports, and overall functioning of the emergency child shelter program with regular visits to the facilities located statewide.  Candidates for the position must have a valid social work license, a BSW or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 5 years of management and supervision experience or a MSW or Master’s Degree in a related field with experience.  Additional requirements; valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, acceptable CIB, FBI and Child Abuse/Neglect background checks.  Candidates should send a letter of interest and resume to Julia Kesler, 1596 Kanawha Blvd. E., Charleston WV 25311.
