Experience and History. 

The Children’s Home Society of West Virginia has been caring for children and families since 1896.   For more than 110 years our agency has provided adoption services to birth parents, adoptive parents and adoptee’s.

The staff at Children’s Home Society are trained to guide you through the adoption process whether you are seeking to adopt or are making an adoption plan.   The adoption staff are licensed master level social workers who have a combined 115 years of experience.

Credentials. 

The Children’s Home Society is accredited by the Council on Accreditation for meeting the highest standard of professional practice.

Our agency is a member agency of the National Council for Adoption, the Alliance for Children, and the Children’s Home Society of America.   The Children’s Home Society is licensed by the state of West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources to provide adoption services.   The adoption services that Children’s Home Society currently provides to adoptive families who reside in West Virginia are:
