Parents as Teachers Program Director
Parkersburg
Children’s Home Society of WV is seeking Parents as Teachers Program Director in our Parents as Teachers Program in Gilmer, Roane and Calhoun Counties. Responsibilities for this position include supervision of parent educators as they work directly with parents of children in the home; providing parents with information regarding child development and effective parenting techniques. The Program Director / Supervisor will use reflective supervision as a strength –based method and provide support and encouragement to the Parent Educator as they serve families, hire new parent educators, train local staff, do scheduled observations of personal visits, and complete all agency reports in a timely manner. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) or a related field, a valid social work license (LSW), a clear criminal and child abuse registry check, a valid driver’s license, and available automobile and insurance coverage.
