June Montgomery Harless Children’s Home

#1 June Harless Drive, P.O. Box N, Holden, WV 25625

The June Montgomery Harless Children’s Shelter opened on December 17, 1999. Located in Holden, Logan County, the shelter was named in memory of Buck Harless’ wife, a woman dedicated to the well-being of children. The citizens of Logan County saw a need to keep their children near their homes and began a grass roots effort to establish a shelter in their community. The June Montgomery Harless Children’s Shelter accepts 10 youth ages 12-18.
