Plan for the Future
Tuition Assistance
We’re fully on board with our employees pursuing further education—and want to help make it possible! We encourage employees to further their education through tuition support for Bachelor and Master of Social Work programs, associate degree programs related to youth care, and relevant degrees in other areas. Full-time employees are eligible to receive assistance with formal education expenses. Once approved for the program, the agency will pay 90% of tuition costs for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Social Work and 75% of a bachelor’s degree in an approved, related field.
Retirement Plans
CHS offers a Profit Sharing Plan (retirement plan) that is open to all employees upon completion of the following requirements: the employee (1) is actively employed, (2) has completed one year of service and has worked at least 1,000 hours as defined in the Summary Plan Description, and (3) is at least 21 years of age. Costs of this plan are paid by CHS. We also offer a Tax-Sheltered Annuity Plan (TSA) to our employees. After being informed of the benefit upon hiring, employees are given the opportunity to participate. All full-time and variable employees are eligible to enter the plan. Contributions are made by the employee only. The employer does not contribute to this plan.
Life and Disability Insurance
Life and Disability Insurance is provided to full-time employees and is covered by Met Life. Premiums are entirely paid by the agency. Life insurance is equal to one year’s annual salary, and disability coverage could be 60% of the employee’s monthly salary up to retirement age.
